The wordplay game, or letter soup, is a pastime that consists of seemingly random arranged letters on a square or rectangular grid. The goal of the game is to find and circle the hidden words in the grid as quickly as possible. The words may be hidden vertically, horizontally or diagonally within the grid. Words are usually arranged so that they can be read from left to right or from top to bottom, and in hobbies of greater difficulty the opposite may also occur. Sometimes a list of hidden words is provided, but more challenging pastimes can cause the player to discover them.
